Home Generator Installs
At DiscountGen we provide a 13 KW portable generator that is plugged-in/connected to the home Circuit Breaker box. This provided 100 amps of power at 120 volts or 50 amps at 240 volts. Power is available to all the breaker’s/circuits in the home’s circuit breaker box. There is no choosing what circuits you want to energize, everything has power. 13 KW is enough power to run a 3.5 Ton home Air Conditioner. Test’s have been done in a 4,300 sq ft house where a 3.5 Ton and 2.0 Ton AC were running simultaneously off the generator with lights on, a TV running, clocks on, cell phone charging etc. In emergencies, when the power goes out, it allows safe, simple backup power.
What we provide and set up:
- Duromax 13,000 watt dual fuel Gasoline/Propane generator.
- Interlock Kit, to safely transfer between the Generator and Mains Power.
- Generator Power Inlet Box, rated to handle the power demand.
- 25 foot lockable 6 gauge heavy duty Generator Power Cord.
- 50 amp 240 volt dual pole breaker.
- All the little parts and pieces needed to make this work
Once completed, the Generator can easily be connected to the house in under 2 min.
Note: A Duromax tri-fuel Generator that runs off Natural Gas/Propane/Gasoline is also available, but this costs extra, and if using Natural Gas will need a plumber certified in Natural Gas hookup to plumb it in.
